About

I am a senior member of TILEC at Tilburg University and Affiliated Researcher at UNU-MERIT. I have taught bachelors and masters coursework at Tilburg University, Utrecht University and Maastricht University. I have also worked at and performed consulting projects for various government agencies, such as the U.S. Federal Reserve and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands.

My primary research interests are in the phenomenon of innovation and the methodology of public policy analysis. My research addresses topics in economics and governance of innovation, economic growth, economic geography, and innovation policy.

I have an MPA in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University, and a PhD from United Nations University – Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT).
